Meera – DOWN but never OUT

Though an unofficial ban following her reluctance to act in the AMMA film, is keeping National Award winning actress Meera Jasmine away from Malayalam films, she is lucky enough to fetch the best of roles from other South Indian language films. She is the heroine in ''Anandapurath Veedu'' produced by Shankar. Nandha will be hero of this Tamil flick. Meera also dons the lead in ''Maryadhai' featuring Captain Vijaykanth.

In addition to all this, Meera Jasmine has also been roped in to play the heroine in the first Kannada film produced by Reliance Entertainments. Titled'' Ijodu'', this movie is being made by celebrated offbeat filmmaker M S Sathyu. Meera will don the role of a Devadasi in this film.

Meera has already completed ''Yamagola'' and another film with Raja Reddy in Telugu. Yet another film for her in Tamil has been named ''A Aa, E ,Ee'' which would be a film by Sreenivasa Reddy.

The company is primarily aiming to distribute new Malayalam films.
